Master student graduated

I am happy to congratulate Nicole Mirnig to her master graduation. She completed her master thesis, which I co-supervised besides her first supervisor Prof. Manfred Tscheligi, entitled: “A Communication Structure for Successful Human-Robot Interaction in Public Space”. She analyzed the formula for success of itinerary requests in human communication and extracted those elements that are responsible for making a dialog succeed or fail. Based on that she developed a communication structure for HRI itinerary requests, which she tested in a WoZ case study with the Nao robot. If you are interested in her work you find a poster on her approach in the HRI2010 proceedings and a special session paper on the case study in the RO-MAN2011 proceedings.
