Abstract

GENUINEWithin the GENUINE project we analysed in a usability study with 80 participants if we can identify significant differences in handing UIs between men and women, which revealed that combinations of gender with other factors like age, education, and previous experience are able to explain possible differences better than “just” gender. The results of our analysis were transferred into a publically available criteria catalogue for gender-inclusive UI design, as well as into a model for model-based User Interface development (http://genuine.ict.tuwien.ac.at/downloads/).
